But which brand is really better when it comes to pickup trucks? In 2023, the determining factors may come down to personal preference. It might be one of the better truck manufacturers, though.
Does Ford make good trucks?
Year after year they seem to have some of the best trucks on the market. I don’t want to be an exaggeration here, but it was the best-selling car in decades. This is a reflection of the pick-up standard set by the brand.
It was so popular that buying one seems almost impossible. Sure, some people might scoff at the idea of a unibody pickup, but that didn’t stop the Ford Maverick from selling like hotcakes.
The Ford Ranger may be the only Ford truck that doesn’t hit the mark
Not every pickup Blue Oval puts out is popular. And as a mid-size truck, it struggles to compete with its competitors. There may be one reason as to why this is the case as well. When Ford reintroduced its midsize truck here in the States, we got the previous generation.
In the global market, people can buy a newer Ranger. But that will change for 2024. Ford is set to introduce the next-generation version of this truck in the United States. And that means things like the Ranger Raptor and a better interior.
Will the 2024 Ranger breathe new life into this model? It’s hard to say. Personally, I’d be interested in testing it out as soon as I get a chance.

Accordingly, Blue Oval has long been invested in truck construction. Over the years, the brand has improved what the pickup truck has to offer. And it all seems to have really paid off.
In the past, pickup trucks were reserved for rural areas. They were devoid of many amenities and were basically just something used to get things done. In modern times, trucks are still working vehicles, but now they can come equipped as semi-luxury cars.
As it is, the trucks are still some of the most popular on the market. They are very versatile, and are seen as reliable beyond certain model years. And it doesn’t look like that popularity is going anywhere anytime soon.
