1 Basic Feature Has Thousands of Ford F-150 Models Delayed The fact that thousands of F-150s are late isn’t entirely new information. Incomplete models can be seen from space, so even astronauts are in the rings. However, the new shortage that will affect 2022 is a bit surprising.

If you’re waiting for the new 2022 or 2023 model to be delivered, we don’t have exactly good news. Over 45,000 models look just as beautiful because they can’t be finished due to supply chain issues.

Ford hasn’t revealed how many trucks are waiting for simple badges.

Other make and model decals are not manufactured in-house. It is supplied by Tribar Technologies, Michigan. However, a row with Michigan regulators over the disposal of industrial chemical waste into local sewage systems has brought production to a halt.

Trebar news made headlines for dumping cancer-causing hexavalent chromium in a tributary of the Michigan Huron River. They were forced to stop when local sewage treatment facilities discovered a spill.

Chromium is a critical component of production, so production was halted when it did not have the capacity to drain the effluent. However, production could be resumed by the end of September. We hope things will quickly get back on track.

The lack of blue oval decals is adding to the supply chain shortages that Ford and other automakers are facing.

One of the most common shortfalls is the global supply of semiconductor chips that power security systems, entertainment devices, and even fuel-saving systems.

However, Ford also lacks the needed padding for the seats, rubber for the tires, and for truck drivers to deliver completed vehicles.

The shortages in the supply chain could continue until 2023, causing limited stocks. As a result, trucks are seeing incredibly high prices.

Wait times may vary for 2022 and 2023 Ford F-150 models. Usually, a new truck can be built in six to 12 weeks. However, supply chain shortages are causing delays. Some people wait 60 days to six months for their new trucks.

If you want to get a new Ford F-150, you’d better get your order as soon as possible to get it sorted. Customized options will have a longer production time. As a result, Ford is working on cutting some trim and engine options to speed up the process.

You may be able to find new F-150 models on the market, but they can have a big markup. Some models were 62 percent used, adding thousands to the MSRP.

We hope that prices will return to normal levels soon, but the current state of the supply chain is highly unpredictable. Stay tuned for the latest updates.
