One reason the 2022 GMC continues to drop in price is the upcoming version of the redesigned 2023 model. Demand for the 2023 model is high, which has led to lower demand for the 2022 version. And when you factor in the lower price and all it has to offer, the 2022 Canyon is a pickup truck bargain. It is an excellent value choice.

Performance-wise, engine options for the midsize truck include a 3.6-liter V-6 with 308 horsepower and a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 200 horsepower. Also, for diesel fans, there’s the Duramax turbodiesel 2.8-liter four-cylinder, which puts out 181 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Plus, when the 2022 Canyon is properly equipped, it can tow up to 7,700 lbs.

Moreover, the pickup truck offers a wide range of standard and available features. Examples include heated and cooled front seats, LED signature lighting, EZ-Lift and Lower Tailgate, spray-on bed liner, and a heated steering wheel. Also, there are useful technologies, such as the GMC infotainment system with an 8.0-inch touchscreen, a rearview camera, wireless charging, built-in Amazon Alexa, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

In addition, the restyled car has more off-road capabilities – with higher ground clearance for all models. Plus, there’s the all-new AT4X off-road model, with features like front and rear electronic lockers, 33-inch all-terrain tires, a Baja drive mode, and lower skid plates.
