5 of our Favorite Features on the 2023 Nissan Altima SR VC-Turbo

We spent a week driving the 2023 car and enjoyed all it had to offer. The mid-size sedan was uniquely beautiful, with a spacious interior, and a powerful engine. While there are a lot to like about the Altima, here are five of the features that stood out to us the most.

1. The variable pressure turbocharged engine is ahead of its time

Our 2023 Altima SR VC-Turbo tester is equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Not to get too technical, but the engine can change its compression ratio—from 8:1 to 14:1—to improve its power and efficiency. It makes 248 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque while average EPA-estimated fuel economy is 29 mpg.

Infotainment system on higher trim levels. The screen offers crisp and clear graphics as well as fast scrolling and refresh rates. Overall, it’s a nice addition to the Altima and makes the interior look high-tech.

3. Zero Gravity front seats are supportive

A lot of science has gone into designing the front seats in the 2023 Altima, and we’re here for it. Nissan calls them “zero gravity” seats because they are so supportive that you feel weightless when sitting in them. It’s true that they’re really comfortable, but we still think they could use a little more thigh support.

4. ProPilot Assist keeps the vehicle centered and on the road

Almost every new car on the road today has some form of driver assistance features that are usually bundled together. In the Altima, Nissan has dubbed the suite of driver-assist features ProPilot Assist, and it mainly features adaptive cruise control and lane assist to keep the car centered. Both functions worked well, and the car didn’t just switch back and forth between lines like some cars do.

5. The 2023 Nissan Altima’s pricing makes it a great value

The 2023 Nissan Altima competes with the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry, but undercuts them when it comes to pricing. The top-of-the-line Accord Touring retails for $37,890, while the Camry tops out at $36,645. On the other hand, the Altima SR VC-Turbo retails for $34,990, which is less than both of its main competitors. Considering that it has many of the same features as these two midsize sedans, we can say that the Altima brings a lot of value to the table.

Our favorite 2023 Nissan Altima features

There’s a lot to like about the 2023 Nissan Altima — from its tech-savvy engine to its bold new look. After spending a week with the car, we came away impressed. However, these five features are what set us apart the most. For more on the Nissan Altima, check them out.
