When reviewing the 2022 Lexus NX 450h+, the author noted that it shares a platform with the Toyota RAV4 Prime. The Lexus NX 450h is 183.5 inches long, with a wheelbase of 105.9 inches. Car and Driver says the XSE is 180.9 inches long with a 105.9-inch wheelbase.

In terms of pricing, the 2022 RAV4 Prime starts at $40,300 for the SE. The XSE Trim will save you $43625. If you want 2022, it will cost you $57,300. Pricing for the NX 450h + F Sport starts at $58,550, plus an additional $1,250 on top of that.

With Lexus, the compact luxury SUV is bound to have a lot more to offer than the Toyota version. However, let’s compare the safety side of things. When reviewing the 2022 Lexus NX 450h+, some of its favorite safety features were dynamic radar cruise control and emergency hazard avoidance assistance. Lane departure alert with steering assistance is also a positive.

For the 2022 Toyota RAV4 Prime, Edmunds likes pre-collision with pedestrian detection and blind spot monitoring. Toyota has also included Lane Departure Alert with steering assistance as well. Edmunds gave both SUVs an eight out of 10 for safety and technology.

The price of a Lexus is exorbitant, even if it has a lot to offer

When it comes down to it, this SUV is pretty much the same for the price difference. For an extra $13,000, you get exotic color options for the interior and exterior. Both provide additional fuel economy thanks to the plug-in hybrid powertrain and comfortable interior.

Neither option will revolutionize the SUV segment, but both are an excellent choice for a reliable, fuel-efficient SUV. Lexus and Toyota know how to make a hybrid SUV now, and neither the RAV4 Prime nor the NX 450h+ can be missed.

While it affected the supply of both of these vehicles, we hope that will change. You may have trouble finding one in your local area, but don’t be afraid to broaden your search a bit. A dealer who is a few hours away may have better stock for whatever reason. Most dealerships ship a car for a small fee.
