Yes, there are a few different supply chain issues that are delaying 2023. First, here’s the ongoing shortage of semiconductor chips, and then there’s the uptick in inflation. In addition, there is an unexpected demand for a defector.

What are the defective parts not available?
Currently, there are a few different features causing delays to 2023. The Co-Pilot360 package faces challenges. It’s optional on Maverick XL, XLT, and Lariat trims.
This package includes Pre-Collision Assist, Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
The Deluxe XLT package, which is optional for the XLT trim, has supply restrictions. It features an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated seats, a heated steering wheel, heated side mirrors, a full-size spare and windshield wiper de-icers.
Next up is the Lariat Luxury package with adaptive cruise control, lane-departure assist, evasive steering, and rear parking sensors.
Choosing a Ford Maverick shake-up may cause delays. It has a one-inch suspension lift, advanced four-wheel drive with AWD lock, Trail Control, 17-inch wheels, steel skid plates, and off-road-tuned suspension.
Parts of the Tremor Off-Road Plus Appearance package are also missing. It adds graphics on the hood and sides, a carbonated gray roof, and mirror caps with orange accents.
Black theme pack is not available. It has 18-inch 5-spoke ebony wheels with black door handles, mirrors, emblems, a black grille, and tinted headlights.
Other shortcomings include a spray bed liner, cargo management system, tri-fold hard luggage cover and splash guards.
Will the Maverick Hybrid take longer to build?
Obtaining the Hybrid may take longer than the gas-powered model due to supply chain constraints involving the hybrid battery. However, this idea has not been confirmed by Ford.
Also, the Maverick Hybrid is more popular than the gas-powered model. Increased demand could lead to further delays. Some people waited about 10 months for regular 2022 Maverick orders, while the 2022 Maverick Hybrid took over a year to arrive.
But there is a little bit of good news. Ford added a third shift at the Maverick plant to boost production. This might speed things up a bit.
