Drop These Options to Get Your 2023 Ford Maverick Faster

It’s no secret that mavericks have been hit with delays, but you might not be totally lucky. There are some features that could be dropped to increase production and delivery times.

What features of the 2023 Ford Maverick are causing delays?

Various issues delayed production for months. Currently, there are no productions scheduled for this week at the Hermosillo plant in Sonora, Mexico. This may be related to a variety of supply chain constraints.

You can drop these options to get your truck faster.

But if production is not scheduled, does that mean the truck is being built without these features? Ford can prepare to switch gears. Reportedly, the focus will be on Ford Maverick Hybrid models for dealership customizations.

Can you get a 2023 Maverick now?

While you’ve been locked out for months, you’re not entirely out of luck. You may be able to find a Maverick model at a local dealership. But of course, that means it can come with a hefty markup.

Ford Maverick may be prepared for delivery. The EcoBoost’s 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine makes 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. This drive is easier to access and can arrive faster.

This engine gets 23 mpg EPA in the city and up to 30 mpg highway. Maverick helps pull up to 4000 lbs.

Models with the EcoBoost 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine could be delivered a little later due to supply chain constraints. This engine is paired with an electric motor to put out 191 horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque.

This engine is the most popular option but it faces limited inventory. It’s the most affordable engine, and gets an EPA-rated 40 mpg in the city and up to 33 mpg on the highway. This is excellent for a truck.

However, models equipped with the hybrid engine cannot be paired with an AWD or towing package. The Maverick Hybrid can tow up to 2,000 lbs. However, if you don’t need the trailer hitch, the tuck can be connected much faster.

Applying in 2023 may set in motion when application banks open for next year. Order banks for the 2024 Ford Maverick are currently expected to open in late summer or fall.

However, no official date has been given. Also, application banks for the 2023 form are delayed by two weeks. Ford may wish to go over the order backlog before accepting new reservations.

Also, we wouldn’t be surprised if some 2023 models were delayed until 2024. We’re not sure if the process would allow buyers to keep the same price or if they would need to cancel a 2023 order to place a 2024 order.

Stay tuned for the latest Ford Maverick updates, and consider dropping in a few extra features to try and get your truck faster.
