If you wanted a 1973 Ford F-150, for example, but didn’t need the 4×4 and needed to save some bread, you could buy a two-wheel-drive cab, single with a manual transmission. It’s hard to get the right base-level truck these days. There are still some stripped-down Chevrolet and Ford fleet trucks, but these aren’t overly common outside of professional vehicles.
