5 Cool Features of the New 2023 Ford F-250 Super Duty Truck

This week it announced the next generation of, or new 2023 F-250 and larger trucks. Super Duty trucks are designed to tow and haul heavy loads, but the new trucks are designed to work with a little more subtle technology. For example, the new F250 can be equipped with a 5G hotspot for over-the-air downloads, and the bed has scales built in, so you’ll know exactly how to balance your trailer. It will be available in early 2023.

Ford includes the F-150 in its trucks, and the larger F-250 doesn’t get a dose of juice either. Pro Power Onboard uses the battery in the F-150 Hybrid or Lightning to generate home electrical power. In the Super Duty, though, Ford didn’t say what kind of battery the trucks used, but the Super Duty has 2 kilowatts of power, enough for power saws, sprinklers or even better, a stereo or TV in the back door.

The new engines for the new 2023 F-250 Super Duty trucks will provide more power. The big news is that there will be a really powerful V8 Power Stroke diesel with more power. If 1,050 lb-ft of torque isn’t enough for you, Ford executives promise the engine’s new turbo and exhaust manifold will bring in more power. This diesel will join the 6.8-liter and 7.3-liter gas-powered V8s that will also have strong boots.

The new Super Duty trucks will have scales on board so you can see exactly how much you’re moving. Scales can tell you how much weight your truck is going to take, and help you balance it. But, the scales won’t come in handy if you have to be in the cab to read the display. Alternatively, the gauges can be read from an app on your phone or from flashing backlights, which is pretty cool.

If you’re buying a big truck like the Super Duty, that means you’ll most likely be towing. So, a new camera and reversing sensors have been added at the top of the tailgate so you can make sure you’re not too close to your trailer. If you still need help, the new Pro Trailer Hitch Assist will automatically support the truck and align the hitch with the receiver. The truck’s navigation system can also be tuned to plan routes without long bridges and sharp turns.

The new truck will have 5G capabilities. This means the truck can have faster access to navigation information, mapping and downloads. It can also use a 5G system and an onboard hotspot to provide internet for up to 10 devices. Also, trucks can get over-the-air updates for a variety of jobs. It also allows the truck to communicate.
