2. The 2023 Honda HR-V
It’s all-new in 2023 and earned an 8.3 out of 10 rating from MotorTrend. The new version of this compact SUV has new styling, improved standard infotainment and safety features, and increased power.
MotorTrend particularly liked the interior design, which borrows the horizontal vent design and honeycomb styling cues on the dashboard from the Honda Civic. They dislike the new powertrain, but still find this little SUV fun to drive thanks to its fully independent rear suspension and Civic-style bodywork. Speaking of bodywork, it does a good job keeping body roll to a minimum and soaking up road bumps like a champ.
3. The 2022 Honda rider
MotorTrend gave this three-row SUV an 8.3 out of 10. Although the Honda Pilot has been around for a while, it offers great value for a three-row SUV. It has thoughtful interior design, impressive performance, and a comfortable ride that’s hard to beat.
The 2022 Honda Pilot has a standard V6 under the hood paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission that offers good acceleration. Even with its size, the ride is smooth and it’s easy to navigate thanks to its precise steering.
Inside, the 2022 Honda Pilot is roomy and yes, adults can fit in the third row of seats if needed. The back row of seats is easily accessible as the middle row slides forward, making it easier to get in. With its generous safety features, plenty of space and practicality, it’s a great vehicle for families.
