What Is it Like to Drive the 2023 Genesis G90 in the Snow?

We enjoyed the 2023 G90 over the course of a week and were able to drive it on a variety of roads in Denver, Colorado. At one point, it started snowing. And while you might think a snowy climate would call for driving an SUV or truck, it has proven that it can handle just about anything you throw at it.

When it comes to driving on snow, one general rule of thumb is that a vehicle’s tires are more important than the wheels it rides on. For example, you can easily winter in Denver with a good set of all-season tires. But, of course, it would be better with a suitable set of.

G90, you don’t have to worry about getting caught in certain places. The full-size sedan cruised easily through the snowy roads we drove. It probably helps that the car weighs 4,861 pounds, which is more than the current Honda Pilot weighs.

Plus, the 21-inch G90 wheels are wrapped in Primacy all-season tires, which surprisingly gripped the few inches of snow we drove through. However, we do not recommend driving in deep snow, as it is possible for the car to get stuck.

On normal pavement, the . It has a multi-chamber air suspension system that absorbs any bumps or inclines in the road with ease. However, it is not as loud as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class either.

Additionally, the car’s steering effort is effortless, and there’s a decent amount of road feel translating through the wheel. You can actually feel the way the wheels turn when you’re driving, which is rare in a large luxury car.

The 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 is super smooth and has plenty of power. There are 409 ponies on tap and 405 lb-ft of thrust, which gets the car moving to highway speeds quickly. In fact, Car and Driver tested the G90, and it got it to 60 mph from a standstill in a hair over five seconds, which is fast for a luxury wagon.

According to the EPA, the Genesis G90 can get up to 17 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. In our testing, we nearly achieved the combined EPA rating of 20 mpg by getting 19 mpg in our week of driving in various situations. One thing was for sure, though, no matter what kind of pavement we drove the G90 on, it stood out with ease.
