Watch: Lexus RX Owner Refuses to Let Thief Steal His Car, Pulls Him Out of the Sunroof While Moving

Don’t go robbed in New Orleans. The people down there are different, as one car thief found out the hard way. Video footage of our friendly neighborhood shows the Lexus-Man running home to get something when someone stops by to steal his red. Too bad the car thief picked the wrong guy to fool him on this day.

Car theft is out of control, but not one man owns it

A Lexus RX owner’s home security camera captured the exciting event on tape. Originally reported by local WDSU News, we now have the full story to go along with this amazing footage.

Deciding to go, the owner jumps on the hood of his Lexus, climbs up the windshield, and begins to fight off the thief through the sunroof, eventually pulling his jacket through the hatch, blocking the thief’s view.

As the car is still moving down the road, hitting mailboxes, the thief appears to have just bailed, and jumps into his fleeing car. The Lexus owner, still in his business suit, throws away the robber’s jacket as the goofballs drive away.

Making the whole thing insanely more flavorful in New Orleans, reports say he threw a package of okra at the thief. The truth really is better than fiction sometimes.

What does a Lexus man say?

According to him, he also said, “In hindsight, there were better decisions I could have made, but I am tired of crime in our city. We expect our police and municipal leaders to do what is necessary to protect their citizens.” The sentiment makes sense, considering that reports point to a 35 percent increase from 2021.

There is no excuse for anyone to take something that does not belong to them. However, the Lexus owner could have kept his blood pressure down that day if he hadn’t left the keys in the SUV. Most car thefts are done on the basis of chance. Never leave your car running unattended.
