Volkswagen Made a Compact Truck, and Then Someone Stretched One!

The compact Volkswagen Rabbit minivan was effective
Volkswagen introduced a pickup version of its Rabbit in 1979 and sold it though for the 1984 model year. If you order this compact FWD truck with a 1.6-liter diesel engine and 5-speed manual, it gets an EPA-estimated 41 mpg. in gallons. On the highway it reached an incredible 54 mpg.
The website lists a VW Rabbit pickup that, although rare, has a four-door model. There’s just one problem, Volkswagen didn’t make a four-door pickup truck.
In this case, it looks like someone took a pair of Volkswagen pickups and cut and welded them into a sleek four-door longbed.
