No, it’s not a dangerous SUV. It just doesn’t provide the same backseat protection as other vehicles. During the test, the head of the rear seat dummy was kept a safe distance from the front seat backrest.
The seat belt reminders got a Poor rating due to taking a long time to start up, not being loud enough, and not lasting long enough. So, tell your kids to buckle up!

But it has “good” ratings for its roll cage, structure, and roof strength. It was also able to avoid collisions with other vehicles at 12 mph. During the 25 mpg test, the speed was reduced by 12 mph.
