Kia recently held an event in Seoul, South Korea to showcase the production model of the 2024 Kia EV9 after showing the concept at several auto shows. Members of the media were able to check how the production EV9 differed from the concept model by far. Surprisingly, there haven’t been many groundbreaking changes between the two models (aside from a more streamlined exterior). Kia has been able to keep many of the cooler features teased by the concept.

Expectations are also high for the EV9 because it’s tied with one of the most popular midsize SUVs in the game, the Kia Telluride. The Telluride is one of the most value-oriented SUVs on the market, and it has the accolades to prove it. Kia’s midsize SUV has been topping the charts for years.
Consumers and auto enthusiasts have come to expect the Kia EV9 to be an electric Telluride or at least a Telluride adjacent one. The midsize electric SUV has big shoes to fill. The question is, will it live up to the hype?
