Google Ads Rolls Out Diagnostic Insights

Google Ads introduces a new dataset on the Insights page that highlights any issues found during diagnostic checks.

Diagnostic insights will help you identify issues that are preventing campaigns from appearing, causing low engagement, making it difficult to measure conversions, and more.

This data can be found on the Performance Max Campaigns Overview and Insights page, allowing you to troubleshoot problems as soon as they are detected.

Google Ads will provide a breakdown of the following statistics:

  • Account status
  • Billing status
  • Policy review
  • Conversion tracking
  • Campaign budget
  • Bid strategy objective
  • campaign status
  • Advertising power

Personalized recommendations will take the guesswork out of fixing the issues Google finds, so you can get your campaign back to optimal performance in no time.

Diagnostic stats were previewed in Google Ads in May with an announcement to launch soon. Two months later, the launch is now taking place.

Diagnostic insights from Google Ads

Diagnostic statistics only appear when the campaign is not receiving traffic or conversions.

If your campaign is running and people are seeing and clicking ads, there will be no diagnostic issues to report.

Keep in mind that Google has not given everyone access to the Insights page yet, as it is currently in beta.

Google gradually releases each type of statistic to randomly selected people, which means you might have a stats page with limited data.

Diagnostic insights are currently available for Performance Max campaigns. The new dataset will be expanded to other campaign types over the next few months.
