It’s an affordable alternative to high-performance off-roaders like the expensive Raptor. What’s good about it already being sold out for the model year? 1. It is sold out because it is an affordable off-road truck
Price is the number one reason why the 2023 Rattler is already sold out. According to Ford offered the package last year for $1,495, so you can get it with the lower trims for $42,690. We believe the low price coupled with the great value it provides played a large role in selling it quickly. While it’s undoubtedly not a Raptor or even a Tremor, this light off-road package for America’s most popular truck offers the perfect blend of features and value.

Combining it all into a package that costs under $1,500 is an excellent value. Considering the price of the tires and other off-road modifications, the Rattler offers a lot of value. However, the all-terrain tires, skid plates, and dual exhaust system are usually locked behind expensive trims.
3. Is the Rattler better than the FX4 for off-roading?
According to , the FX4 Off-Road Package costs $1,095 for the base model F-150 XL. While it’s still available, it doesn’t offer the value that the Rattler package does. Ford says this adds an electronically locking rear axle, body side decal, canister floor liner, Hill Descent Control, off-road-tuned front shock absorbers, monotube rear shocks, rock-crawling mode and skid plates. Although equipment is plentiful, none of it can match the features available in the Rattler Off-Road Package. Now that the rattlesnake-themed parts are sold out, F-150 buyers will have to choose the only other affordable option, which is the FX4 Off-Road Package.

According to CarBuzz, the Rattler is sold out, as is the 2024 model. The publication said the 2024 version sold out before Ford switched the 2022 model to the 2023 version in its stores.
