3 Audi SUVs That Didn’t Fair so Well in JD Power’s Reviews

is a famous German luxury car manufacturer known for producing some high quality cars, but the luxury car segment is . In fact, there are three Audi SUVs that have been beaten by its rivals. Here’s a look at those three relatively bad ones, as well as the luxury SUVs that are better than them.

2023 Audi Q4 e-tron Electric Audi SUV | Audi

1. Audi e-tron from 2023

released its “Best Premium Midsize SUV” list, and unfortunately for Audi, three of its offerings were at the bottom of that list. The e-tron scored the highest of the three, as the car critic gave it a 76 out of 100.

and starts at around $71,000. Its powertrain is a highlight as it gets 355 hp as standard. That said, it only has a maximum range of 226 miles, and that’s very low for an EV. Unsurprisingly, that was one area owners didn’t like about the SUV. And although it has a luxurious and well-insulated cabin, its interior has some flaws. For example, the infotainment system isn’t great and it has below-average cabin storage space.

2. Audi Q8 from 2023

The Q8 followed closely behind the e-tron, as the site gave it a score of 75 out of 100. This moved it to seventh place out of eight. It starts at around $72,000 and is likely for many drivers. As with most other luxury SUVs, the Q8’s interior is a highlight in that it’s comfortable and shielded from road noise.

The German automaker has also given it some good engine options. It starts with a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 and gets 335hp. There are two V8 options, and the more powerful gets 591 hp. However, the Q8’s fuel economy is terrible, and that’s one area the owners didn’t like. At best, it gets 18 mpg city and 23 mpg highway, for a combined 21 mpg.

3. Audi Q7 from 2023

The Q7, meanwhile, is bigger than the e-tron and Q8 as it comes with three rows of seats as standard. It’s cheaper, too, starting at around $58,000. However, it has the lowest score in the segment, receiving a 72 out of 100. Again, the pros and cons of the Q7 are similar to those of the e-tron and Q8.

Its interior is beautiful and luxurious, although the third row is cramped and therefore only suitable for children and small adults. It starts with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that gets 248bhp, and Audi offers options, including a 500bhp V8.

However, despite being a smaller engine, the four-cylinder still has bad fuel economy, and that’s a common complaint drivers had with the car. Just like the Q8, the Q7 only gets about 21 mpg combined.

This BMW SUV is a much better option than the Audi ones

The midsize luxury SUV that took first place was the BMW X6. It received a score of 83 out of 100, which allowed it to beat mid-size luxury SUVs from other well-known automakers, such as the Porsche Cayenne and Mercedes-Benz GLE.

It starts with a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that gets 335 hp. BMW offers engine options for the car and, obviously, the driving experience of the X6 was its most appreciated aspect.
