How much can the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV tow?
The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV is expected to tow up to 10,000 pounds and carry a payload of up to 1,300 pounds, which is a very good start. However, it can tow up to 10,000 pounds and carry a payload of up to 2,235 pounds.

How big is the 2024 Silverado EV?
The 2024 Chevy Silverado EV is expected to offer a large battery pack that will provide more than 400 miles of range on a single charge. It’s unclear how much range trucks with smaller battery packs will get.
Also, the larger battery pack can deliver up to 754 horsepower. Other reports state that some models will have anywhere from 510 to 664 hp. It will be built alongside the GMC Hummer EV, which has a range of 329 and 1,000 horsepower.
The Silverado EV may be lighter than the Hummer EV, which allows it to have a greater range. The Electric Hummer tips the scales at 9,063 lbs.
The Standard offers 230 miles of range with 425 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque. A long-range battery increases range to 320 miles and horsepower to 580. With the Rivian R1T, you get about 328 miles of range with 600 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque.
What else do we know about the 2024 electric Silverado?
The 2024 could have technology that helps it recover about 100 miles of charge in 10 minutes using a DC fast charging station. Competitors can replenish a charge from about 10 to 80 percent in about 15 minutes.
Also, the Chevy Silverado EV WT could be quite affordable as a popular fleet option or entry-level truck. It may start at around $39,990. But the F-150 Lightning Pro started low and received a huge price hike, so we need to see it to believe it.
Other models, such as the Trail Boss, First, Edition, and RST, will be more expensive. Don’t be surprised if some models make up to $100,000.
If the Silverado EV can tow 10,000 pounds for up to 400 miles, it will have an advantage with its long-distance towing capability. Otherwise, it matches Lightning’s drawing ability despite having more power.
