Using the steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters can cause the CVT to trip. It doesn’t provide the precise, refined control that rivals like the Genesis GV70 do. It’s almost better to ignore the riding modes and just use the pedals.
However, the standard 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 268PS and 280Nm of torque is quite engaging. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 6.4 seconds. There are no delays when pulling into traffic or overtaking others on the highway.
2. The Infiniti QX50 engine is a bit noisy
