2024 is finally taking on a new face. In fact, it’s getting a brand new exterior design because it’s time for a total redesign. This may feel rushed because the Traverse just got a mid-cycle refresh for 2022.

spotted a 2024 Traverse during testing, but the SUV is heavily covered in camouflage. Based on the spy shots, we can determine that the Traverse is getting a more confident look with a more boxer shape and possibly some suspension lift.

It looks beefier and the grille could be sportier to match the smaller Chevy Blazer. It has a triangular mesh pattern and vertical design with a rectangular air vent below it. LED lights are located above the side vents.

The rear includes vertical taillights, like the Blazers. Plus, it’s sat on a sporty set of 20-inch five-spoke black alloy wheels. The Traverse could have a performance edition and a more rugged off-road model.

Will the 2024 Traverse interior be updated?

Yes, 2024 will have better interiors. While the current model has a roomy layout, it’s filled with plastic and looks simple. Chevrolet said the new interior will be bolder with more features.

The standard 7.0-inch and available 8.0-inch infotainment screens could be replaced with a larger unit. For example, the Blazer features an attractive 10.2-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.

The small 4.2-inch digital gauge cluster, backup camera, and 360-degree camera system could also be upgraded.

Comfort features already include a heated steering wheel, heated seats, ventilated seats, a power liftgate and a power fold third row. We can’t wait to see what adds to the mix.

How much horsepower will the 2024 Traverse have?

2024 may use the current standard engine. It is a 3.0-litre V6 unit with 310PS and 266Nm of torque. But it could be upgraded to provide more horsepower, like the Chevy Colorado engine.

Some rumors suggest a plug-in hybrid Traverse may be in the works. However, the gas-powered variant will likely come out first. Also, the engine could get auto start and stop technology to save fuel.

The Traverse can tow up to 5,000 pounds and carry a payload of up to 1,850 pounds. This is the average for the class and the need for more muscle is not there. However, it would be appreciated.

The next-generation Traverse may debut soon, so stay tuned for the latest updates. We can’t wait to find out more.
