New EV Truck Specs by the Numbers: Ford, Chevy and (Finally) Ram Face Off

With the concept truck introduced this week, we finally got a look at the new truck. We also got some limited specs from the company that show that even though it may be too late for the EV truck party, it’s not turning on. When it comes to the big three electric trucks, what makes these big trucks different?

Which electric truck has the most power?

The Ram Revolution was finally shown in concept form at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. At CES, Ram showed that it could design a cool look, but unfortunately didn’t release much technical info. However, we can know one thing. He said its engines can deliver up to 330 kilowatts of power, or 442.5 horsepower. With two of these engines powering the all-wheel-drive revolution, it can make up to 885 horsepower.

Reports indicate that it should have a range of 500 miles with the extended battery pack. The RAM will have the latest charging technology, which means an 800V DC fast charging system. Ram says it can add up to 100 miles of range in 10 minutes of a quick charge.

Ford’s extended range is 320 miles with the extended package. It also has a 350 kW DC fast charging system. It has up to 400 miles of range. They also have a DC fast charger that can add 100 miles of range in 10 minutes.

Which electric truck is bigger?

Without Ram’s length and width numbers, however, it’s hard to say which truck is the biggest. But we do have some clues. The Ram Revolution’s cabin has enough space for three rows of passengers, while two sit in the back in fold-down jump seats. This means that its cabin is longer than other two-row trucks. If the bed is the same length as the standard bed, it should be a little longer than the other bed.

The Silverado EV is 19.5 feet, or 233 inches, long. The Ford is also 233 inches long. Both trucks are about 80 inches wide. However, the ram could be wider. The eagle among us will note that the concept has a row of LED lights on the grille. DOT requires very wide trucks, like Ford’s Raptor and Ram TRX, to get these lights.

The Revolution bed is 18 feet (sort of) long. Both the Ram and GM twins have removable center gates in the rear of the cab. With the midgate removed and a bed extender added, the Ram bed becomes 18 feet long. Chevy can extend up to 13 feet, via a driveway. The traditional Ford Lightning bed is 66 inches long.
