While the Wagoneer has some great specs, the SUV currently sits between two segments. It’s much more expensive than regular full-size SUVs, but it’s not luxurious enough to compete with truly luxurious SUVs.

For example, it starts at around $53,000 and is a solid full-size SUV that doesn’t have many flaws. At the other end of the spectrum, the Wagoneer falls flat compared to other luxury cars. That’s true even as car buyers upgrade to the Grand Wagoneer, which is essentially a more luxurious version of the Jeep SUV.

Despite costing nearly $30,000 more, the Grand Wagoneer is one of the worst luxury SUVs in the segment. Currently, there are eight SUVs in the full-size luxury SUV segment. The Grand Wagoneer is only in sixth place. The Jeep SUV isn’t all bad, in fact, it has an overall score of 8.2 out of 10. It’s just that its rivals are much better luxury SUVs overall.
