    With a 1.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine and electric motor, the plug-in hybrid powertrain generates 285 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. Additionally, the Hornet R/T PHEV offers an all-electric range of over 30 miles. Using all-electric power in the R/T PHEV reduces fuel consumption and saves money.

    The new subcompact crossover SUV also offers an all-gas model in GT trim. The Hornet GT is more than good for performance too, as it’s the fastest and most powerful SUV under $31,000. It features a turbocharged 2.0-litre inline four-cylinder engine, delivering over 265 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. As for acceleration, it completes the 0-60 mph sprint in 6.5 seconds.

    Furthermore, it offers various performance characteristics that improve driving dynamics. This includes Brembo four-piston brake calipers, Koni shock absorbers and dynamic torque vectoring. Additionally, there’s a Sport mode, which provides tighter steering, optimized gear changes, and crisper throttle response. And for safe traction, all models come with all-wheel drive as standard.
