Owners report that this is their second favorite feature
Owners spoke highly of their favorite parts of the 2023 Cadillac XT6 in a poll published by . The JD Power 2022 Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) study gave owners 10 features and asked them to rank them from most to least pleasant.
. This is crucial because very few drivers are now willing to spend money on a vehicle that doesn’t drive well, no matter how dreamy it may sound.
JD Power’s expert reviewers feel the same way
Consumers and experts aren’t, but in this case, the JD Power team felt like the owners. Some features for which the XT6 earned praise included the infotainment system, supercruise, and ease of getting on and off. Ease of driving was the third feature on this list.
In the review, Christian Wardlaw, an independent expert, said he particularly loves the adaptive damping suspension and quiet ride. Wardlaw went on to praise the 2023 Cadillac XT6 for its ability to handle twisty roads. While it’s not the type of vehicle you’d take off the road, some owners may be eager to spend some time in the mountains to get away for a while.
The XT6 won’t leave you with a feeling of drama and excitement that a smaller vehicle would, but it also isn’t stressful as you navigate the corners.
Does the 2023 Cadillac XT6 stand out?
Just because a vehicle is made by a luxury automaker doesn’t mean it has that luxury feel. The XT6 really does achieve this, but given the sheer amount of competition, it landed somewhere in the middle of the pack. In fact, during JD Power’s 2022 APEAL study, the 2023 Cadillac XT6 ranked only sixth out of 12 models.
That’s not exactly good news for Cadillac, but given how crowded the market is, only the best of the best secure the coveted top seats. Offering a vehicle that feels like a luxury ride, the XT6 still held its own.
Even so, the 2023 XT6 is worth considering if you’re interested in purchasing a luxury SUV. JD Power cautioned that not much has changed in the past three years as far as updates go, so if you really want an XT6, you might want one.
