3 of the Best Used SUVs for Under $30,000 in 2023
There is no denying how popular they are in the United States. For nearly two decades, SUVs have outsold car sales among buyers, and it doesn’t look like that’s going to change anytime soon. Whether it’s a family vehicle, a 4×4 or something else, these could cost less than $30,000 in 2023.
Is it worth using an SUV?
Depending on what you choose, it can be a good choice. Modern SUVs come in all shapes and sizes. These range from compact crossovers to full-size SUVs. But new vehicles have become quite expensive. For this reason, many people choose to look at the used market.
, I found it handy and performing. Which isn’t something SUVs are always lauded for. A 2019 Mazda CX-5 can be equipped with a 250 horsepower engine and can be purchased on a budget.
There are some downsides to note, though. Until 2020 and 2021 respectively, safety technology and things like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto weren’t made standard. Still, the 2019 CX-5 has a lot going for it. It also has an estimated range of about 414 miles.
2. 2020 Nissan Rogue
Over the last few years, it has really started to come into its own. But it’s still an affordable option, especially on the used market. With the sort of budget we’re discussing here, you should be able to find a fairly well-equipped Rogue from the 2020 model year.
Second, it comes with a spacious interior. And as a crossover, it offers legitimate efficiency too.
1. Lexus NX 2019
It’s a luxury SUV with looks to boot. You may be able to find a hybrid model at this price point, but if you’re after something eagerly, the 235hp turbocharged engine may be your best bet.
Because Lexus is part of the Toyota family, the perceived reliability of these vehicles is high. Even if the Lexus NX doesn’t offer the same kind of driving dynamics as something like the BMW X1.
This SUV is certainly not for everyone. But if you want something more premium than the Nissan Rogue or Mazda CX-5, it’s out there. Its starting MSRP is around $36,000, but it’s cheaper on the used market.
