Don’t let the similar names fool you. The 2023 Chevy Blazer and Chevy Trailblazer are two very different things, with very different missions. They have some similarities: they’re both five-seat SUVs with large cargo areas, for example, but other than that, these two don’t have much in common. But which is bigger, Chevy Blazer or Trailblazer?
The Blazer is bigger than the Trailblazer

Engine options for the Trailblazer include turbocharged 1.2-liter and 1.3-liter engines. The 1.2-liter makes 137 horsepower, which gets the Trailblazer moving, but most will opt for the 1.3 which has 155 horsepower, as well as the option for all-wheel drive. The Trailblazer, however, sees much better fuel economy than the larger Blazer.
The Trailblazer has a much lower starting price
The Trailblazer starts at as little as $22,100. But he competes well in the under-. To get the most desired features, you’ll need to upgrade to the LT version, which starts at $25,595. You pay a $2,000 premium for all-wheel drive on the Trailblazer.
The Blazer, however, starts at $35,100. Like the Trailblazer, the base version is well-equipped, but you’ll probably want to upgrade to the 3LT trim level to get coveted goodies like heated seats and parking sensors. The Blazer is available in a cool street-style RS version, an aesthetic package that adds a body-hugging body. On the Blazer, all-wheel drive is a $2,700 option.
Inside, though, the Blazer is a much nicer place than the Trailblazer. The Blazer’s interior is inspired by the Camaro and has a sporty interior similar to a muscle SUV. While the Trailblazer is cheaper, it also has some cheap plastics and the seats aren’t quite as supportive. And, if you’re looking for a larger SUV, the Blazer is the one to go with.
