Is Ford redesigning the Ranger?
Ford has really redesigned the World Ranger. The latest version will go on sale in Europe in November 2022, according to reports.
Similar changes appear. The brake lights will move above the rear window of the cab. Bumper steps behind the rear wheels will not be included, and there will be minimal changes to the front end, specifically the lower area.
He also concludes that the 2024 Ford Ranger will have engines similar to those in the Bronco SUV, considering “they have the same underpinnings.” But reviewers note that there will likely be a hybrid powertrain option as well, given the success of the F-150 and Maverick hybrid models.
In addition, one of the most significant upgrades will occur in the cabin. Ford describes the 2024 Ranger as a “significant departure” from the current American model. The new design feels more practical, with physical controls for HVAC settings and a less cluttered center console. A wireless charging pad and USB ports are also expected.
How is the American Ford Ranger 2024 different from the global model?
The updated U.S. Universal pickup truck looks more like the outgoing model, but there are a few key differences.
First, the frame and chassis rails are modified to meet US safety standards. Is the American Ford Ranger 2024 better than the world class?
If expectations hold up, it will be better than the global model. Hybrid, turbocharged, and inline-four engine options offer much better versatility than the three diesel options.
The upgraded interior will likely appear in both the US and World Ranger, so that wouldn’t be much of a difference. Either way, the button controls, more storage, and cleaner layout are positive factors.
Stylistically, the two models will be very similar, with some front end tweaks that won’t make a substantive difference. More prominent brake lights on the American would likely be more effective, but the lack of shock-absorbing steps on the US-style gives the World Ranger a slight advantage.
