Smartest Drivers With Highest IQ Drive This Mysterious Car Brand

People make generalizations about drivers, whether it’s because of age, gender, type of vehicle, or brand. A common reason for these generalizations is road rage, such as calling someone a “dumb driver” when they cut in front of you. However, a study recently analyzed the association between intelligence and the brand of car people drive. The study found that the car with the highest driving IQ is from a car brand that is obscure to many Americans: Skoda.

The study says that Skoda drivers are the smartest with the highest IQ

Automotive.com, a UK car site, did research to see if there was a correlation between the car you drive and your IQ. For the study, the site had more than 2,000 drivers taking an intelligence quotient (IQ) test. IQ is a measure of how smart a person is – and is based on their performance on standardized intelligence tests.

, since Skoda models are not sold in the United States. Skoda is a car brand from the Czech Republic.

Skoda drivers have an average IQ of 99. They were the smartest drivers out of the 22 car brands in the study. The smartest are Suzuki (98.09) and Peugeot (97.79).

Previous research from comparing junk cars also showed that Skoda drivers are the least psychologically disturbed in comparing car brands. This includes a lack of remorse or guilt, a grandiose sense of self-worth, and superficial charm.

What are Skoda cars?

Like most Americans, I didn’t know much about Skoda cars—at least until recently. For me, the unfamiliarity was somewhat surprising, since I have Czech heritage. In 2002, I took a trip to the Czech Republic with my mother, grandmother, and brother to visit some of my relatives there.

We enjoyed some of the things the country is famous for, such as the liveliness of Prague, medieval castles, beautiful historical architecture, quaint little towns, beer, and hot springs in Karlovy Vary. However, at the time, I didn’t realize that two of the world’s oldest continuous automakers are from the Czech Republic: Skoda and Tatra.

Skoda was originally a manufacturer, founded in 1859. It began producing cars under the Laurin & Klement brand in 1895 – later becoming Skoda Auto in 1925. Volkswagen Group bought Skoda in 1991 – and is now a subsidiary of the automaker German.

Will Skoda cars be available in the United States?

Vehicles from the Czech brand are sold in more than 100 countries – but not in America. Given that Volkswagen already has a strong presence in the US, it’s likely that Skoda vehicles won’t be available in the US anytime soon.

Skoda has an impressive range of SUVs, crossovers, wagons and sedans. In 2021, Skoda’s best-selling model is the Octavia small sedan, followed by the Kamiq small crossover SUV and the Karoq compact crossover SUV. Also, Skoda offers the iV lineup, including the Octavia iV, Superb iV, and Enyaq iV.

If you think you are a smart driver with a high IQ – after hearing about the study, you might want to drive a Skoda. However, you cannot get a new one in the United States. If you’re American, you’ll have to accept a brand of cars sold in the US from the other smart drivers in the study – like MINI, Mazda, and Toyota.
