Recall Alert: The Ford Bronco and F-150 Have Transmission Issues

It seems Ford can’t escape quality issues, and now the 2023 Ford F-150 has a discontinued sale and recall due to a transmission issue. The problem is related to the 10-speed automatic transmission.

As a result, the Ford Bronco and F-150 may move while in park. It’s like putting the vehicles in neutral instead.

The inability to secure the park bench may result in tipping over, increasing the risk of injuries or accidents.

On the plus side, Ford believes most of the affected vehicles have yet to be delivered. But selling wages can lead to delays. It is unclear when deliveries will resume. Also, Ford does not have a solution to this problem yet.

If your vehicle is in danger, parts and instructions will arrive in the second quarter of 2023. The Bronco vehicles covered by this recall were built between November 14, 2022, and January 12, 2023.

The F-150s at risk were built between November 09, 2022, and January 13, 2023 in Dearborn, Michigan. Also, models built between November 13, 2022, and January 12, 2023 in Kansas may be affected.

How many recalls does the F-150 have?

2023 – 2022 contains the call-up list altogether. The 2023 model has two pulls already. One has to do with the transmission issue, and the other is due to the airbags not inflating as intended.

To make matters worse, the 2022 F-150 has 10 recalls, including a powertrain issue. Airbags may break during deployment and send shrapnel through the cabin, non-functioning windshield wipers may reduce visibility, and flashing lights are a problem.

In addition, improper lug nuts may allow tires to dislodge, drive shaft breakage may result in loss of power, tire pressure effects control, wiring damage renders steering inoperative, and there may be loss of trailer brake function.

2023 has one recall for a powertrain parking issue. The 2022 Ford Bronco has five recalls. One is related to the same powertrain problem. Also, the side airbag sensor may malfunction, causing unintended deployment.

An electrical problem may cause the rear view camera to malfunction in the reverse view, the windshield may separate from the frame, and the child locks may not be able to operate.
