Ram is Planning an Electric TRX!

Going electric. Unveiled its first battery-powered concept truck: the 2024 Ram 1500 Revolution. The automaker hopes to put some form of this vehicle into production by 2024. But what about the Ram flagship? And Ram’s CEO recently promised a franchise. We expect this monster truck to be more powerful than the Hellcat-powered generation.

We already know what the Ram truck’s next behemoth powertrain will be called. The electric Dodge Charger has released the Daytona-clad Concept. The automaker has revealed that the Banshee will be the Hellcat of the future. It will be a high-output version of the Stellantis electric powertrain shared across the company’s US brands.

Ram’s electric technology is designed with off-road driving in mind. “The electric drive modules (EDMs) that we purpose-design are protected for high-performance applications, so I think you will see a very similar go-to-market strategy.”

Even before Ram launched the electric TRX, the EV was growing. General Motors revived the Hummer nameplate to launch its first electric truck, a true monster truck.

In addition, Rivian’s four-motor R1T was the first electric truck on the market. Rivian’s electric truck marketing focuses more on sustainability than the monster truck’s capabilities. However, its four engines allow it to reach 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds. It easily dethroned the Hellcat-powered Ram 1500 TRX as the fastest truck in the world. Maybe one day the electric TRX will reclaim the title.
