Only 1 2023 Pickup Truck Has Over 50 Available Trims

The 2023 1500 is one of the best pickup trucks on the market, but it’s competing with some quality competition from trucks like trucks are very popular in America right now, so the automakers have a lot of incentive over their competitors.

In terms of trim options and configurations, here’s a look at the only 2023 pickup truck with more than 50 variants available right now.

Counting all the different configurations and trims that automakers offer on their trucks, the Ram 1500 came out on top.

Not only did the Ram truck have the most configurations available with 54, but it was also the only truck with more than 50. It wasn’t particularly close, as runner-up was the Toyota Tundra which had a total of 42 different configurations.

However, while the Tundra is a full-size truck, it isn’t quite as popular as other options in this segment. The Ram 1500 in this segment are the F-150 and the Chevy Silverado.

Both trucks also have a relatively similar number of available trims/configurations, with the F-150 having 39, and the Silverado having 38.

Here’s a look at the options Ram offers on the truck

The main reason there are so many options for these trucks is that the site considers each possible configuration as its own. As a result, many of the truck’s trim options are not much different from one another. For example, a truck with rear-wheel drive is a unique configuration.

Ram currently has two cab and two bed options, and it offers trucks with all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive. There is a crew cab option and an extended cab option, and the automaker offers a 5-foot-7-inch bed as well as a 6-foot-4-inch bed.

In addition, the automaker offers a large number of trim levels. Currently, there are about ten trim levels. The standard trim level is the Tradesman, and it starts at around $30,000.

One of Ram’s mid-pack trim levels is the Big Horn, which starts at around $43,000. The most expensive full-size truck trim level starts at $84,000.

A large number of trim options is highly desirable to truck shoppers

While some auto shoppers may have a hard time sorting through all of the trim options that automakers offer for their trucks, truck enthusiasts usually expect their trucks to have a lot of options. These options, especially with regard to the truck’s cab and bed, allow drivers to customize their truck’s capabilities to their liking.

For some drivers, this means that they want a truck with minimum passenger comfort and maximum capabilities in terms of the truck bed.

However, other drivers want their truck to be a passenger vehicle. This usually means a shorter bed but a larger cabin, which also results in a more comfortable cabin.

There is a similar logic to the truck’s trim levels. Many automakers offer premium trims that pack a lot of luxury features. This may be attractive to some drivers, but not to others. As such, by having more trims available, automakers can appeal to every type of truck shopper.
