Jay Leno’s Garage Cancelled After Seven Seasons

This news comes amid two violent incidents for the now 72-year-old comedian. Last November, he was working on a gas line for an antique car in his collection when a fire broke out and burned one side of his face. Then, on January 17, Jay rode his 1940 Indian motorcycle into an unmarked cable car blocking a parking lot. He broke multiple bones, but Guy was back at work ten days later. Now, Jay was hurt by the news of his show being cancelled.

Why was Jay Leno’s Garage canceled?

It’s the last days of Jay Leno’s Garage on CNBC. After seven seasons, the series featuring Jay Leno’s extensive car collection was canceled, pursuant to some heavy scheduling changes at the network. It will be replaced by reality TV reboots like Shark Tank and Undercover Boss. Jay Leno’s Garage Youtube channel seems unaffected by this. However, Jay continues to post about once a week, driving a different car than his group.

Just a few months later. With guests on the show like POTUS Joe Biden, it’s drawing good numbers for the network. However, the primary focus of the show is the collection of Jay’s cars stored in his 122,000-square-foot warehouse in Burbank, California.

in fact yes. Jay Leno’s garage relies entirely on his car collection. It has more than 300 unique vehicles powered by steam, electricity and even turbines. Some of Jay’s cars in his collection are now worth millions of dollars. For example, a 1934 Duesenberg Walker Coupe in its collection is worth $20 million on its own. However, despite the astronomical worth of over $100 million in his current collection, Jay reportedly never spent any of the Tonight Show host’s money on set.

He wasn’t always very wealthy. He started his working life by running errands as a “big boy” in a luxury car dealership. Jay has become accustomed to all kinds of different cars, and he drives Mercedes, Rolls Royce and BMWs for clients. After saving some money, Jay bought his first car, a 1934 Ford pickup truck. One of the first Jay cars he still had in his collection was a 1965 Buick Roadmaster which he bought for only $350.

What’s next for Jay Leno?

Given that Jay is in his 70s, at this point, he may finally be looking to retire. However, knowing how much life he has left, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Jay jump at the next show opportunity he has. While Jay Leno Garage’s Youtube channel is still up in the air, it may continue as Jay’s outlet for creativity. We hope to see more as the years go by.
