Marketers have taken to LinkedIn and Twitter to voice their concerns.
Why is this important
Advertisers cannot manage or improve their accounts without appropriate access to Google Ads.
Furthermore, Google Ads still serves users, but marketers can’t see or interact with real-time performance. When marketing dollars are on the line, it’s a huge problem for companies of any size.
If you are used to doing weekly reports, this is another task that you will not be able to do until the problem with Google Ads is fixed.
This outage is not comfortable for Google yet Layoff announcement 12,000 employees on Friday.
While this outage was likely an inconvenient Google Ads coincidence, advertisers were quick to piece it together.
summary
Google Ads is still down for many users as of Monday afternoon. After Friday’s announcement of the 12,000 Google employees, questions arose as to whether these layoffs had affected the technology and employees who run these platforms.
This is a developing story and will be updated as Google provides more information.
