3 Things Ford Maverick Owners Love Most About Their Trucks

Many consumers are eager to get their hands on the Maverick. When the first prototypes of the new truck hit dealership lots early last year, it was impossible to keep them in stock, especially the hybrid versions. Now, less than a month into 2023, Maverick retail sales are due to the automaker’s inability to keep up with overwhelming demand.

Those lucky enough to own their truck love it! A recent survey asked owners to rank the vehicle in 10 different categories, and these are the three things Ford Maverick owners loved most about the highly desirable truck.

I recently polled real owners and asked them what their favorite thing about their new truck is. Exterior design was the first answer among the respondents.

With its sleek design, compact bed and classic blue oval appeal, the unique minivan turns heads on the road. Winner of the 2022 North American Truck of the Year award, the Ford Maverick impresses with a unibody chassis that differs from the look of a pickup truck.

Base model Ford Maverick XL exterior features include LED headlights and 17-inch steel wheels, with the XLT model offering alloy wheels and a power-locking tailgate. The multi-position tailgate has adjustable retention cords, making it easily adaptable to any situation.

Two 12-volt wired connections and two 400-watt 100-volt electrical outlets in the bed provide access to power no matter where you are, and Lariat and XLT trims include a pre-installed bed light. The shorter bed walls provide easy storage options, making it quick and easy to access them inside the bed. A foldable tonneau cover adds an extra layer of protection and security.

Driving Feel: 2022 Ford Maverick owners love driving the truck

It’s a fun little truck to drive. While it shares characteristics with crossover SUVs, it still holds its own like a truck and can haul up to 18 sheets of plywood with no problem. It is adept enough to get into tight parking spaces and performs well both on highway and off road.

After driving the exclusive new truck, Senior Editor Jeff Perez said,

“The unibody design and compact size of the Ford Maverick make it an absolute joy to drive. Whether you’re cruising around town or hitting the highway for a few hours, the Maverick feels completely comfortable in either setting, unlike some larger pickups that are less fun on the The Road “.

Owners tend to agree because driving feel was a close second among current Maverick owners favorite things about compact pickups.
