3. 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500
Well, this truck may be from yesteryear, but it has a lot to offer. A number of different powertrains are available, including the powerful V8. As a GM product, it might have a hard time rivaling the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150 in terms of quality. But the base model makes a legitimate case for being a work truck.
The standard engine is a turbocharged four-cylinder, the same one found in the Chevy Colorado. But if you want some of the better features this pickup truck has to offer, you’ll need to step up to the higher trim levels.
2. 2023 Ram 1500 Classic
It’s kind of weird. It’s actually the previous generation full-size Ram truck. Compared to the standard 2023 Ram 1500, the Classic is a legitimate bargain. Although you’ll give up the modern features you might expect from a new truck. But hey, you get a truck that first became available for the 2009 model year.
The good news is that the 2023 Ram 1500 Classic looks and feels like an old pickup. The Ram 1500 Classic Warlock might be one of the more popular variants. The Warlock comes with a 3.6-liter V6 engine, some aggressive looks, and possibly some better off-road capabilities.
1.2023 Ford F-150
Rather than listing another GM product, the starting cost is about $34k. Although it might be hard to find one at this price with dealer recommendations. Plus, you’ll just get a nice utilitarian car.
However, the F-150 has long been one of the best-selling full-size trucks in the United States. It appears year after year. This pickup continues to win. In 2023, Ford’s half-ton truck is available in multiple trim levels, and there are a range of powertrain options.
But at the end of the day, the Ford F-150 isn’t for everyone. When it comes to trucks, personal preference often prevails, especially when you put down such a large amount of money to get one. Even if finding a cheap full-size truck in 2023 puts some limits on that.
