Buyers and SUVs might be interested to know that US News recently released its list of the best two-row SUVs under $15,000 for 2023. Shockingly, they took four of the top eight spots on the list. Curious to know which years of Murano models deserved a mention?

Unsurprisingly, its specifications largely mirror those of the 2010 Murano, including fuel economy and power. However, US News notes a couple of inherent drawbacks to the model, including the need for premium fuel and poor rearward visibility.

The 2012 Nissan Murano earns praise for its 260-265hp engine and upscale interior. Its fuel economy also ranks similarly to the other Muranos on the list, coming in at 17-18 mpg city and 22-24 mpg highway. Where the 2012 Murano falls short is in its safety score, which US News rates poorly against the competition.

All in all, if you’re looking for a relatively affordable used two-row SUV, the Nissan Murano may be one to consider. With so many of her model years appearing at the top of US news lists, she must be doing something right.
